Innovative Blended Learning

- navigatenides.com.

Navigate, an award-winning school, is recognized nationally and internationally for their innovative approach to blended learning. Through the diversity of programs, they are able to offer custom education options you’d expect from a private school without the expensive tuition fees. Navigate is a fully funded public school and welcomes fulltime and part-time students from throughout B.C., even while they attend other schools. Every K-12 student is offered a flexible and personalized learning plan that focuses on their unique interests and abilities.

Navigate programs are as diverse as the families they work with.Through the K-9 Heartwood Learning Community program, small communities and groups with as few as seven students, can access B.C. certified teachers.

A cross-enrollment option is available for students in grades 8-12 and can balance course loads, free up schedules and allow more room for electives. Custom learning plans provide new options for high performance students who are free to focus on their athletic or artistic development as well as academic achievements on their own schedule. Navigate delivers several awardwinning programs of choice in the Comox Valley that focus exclusively on STEM (ENTER, E2 programs) and Fine Arts curriculum (FAe). The K-12 COMPASS program is a two-day, face-to-face, blended learning program. Day 1 (Connections Day) provides students with an opportunity for social interaction with their peers, connection with their teacher, and instruction focused on the core competencies in communications, language arts, numeracy, social studies and science. Day 2 (Explorations Day) provides opportunities for experiential learning in the community centred around three themes: the fine arts, new technology and place-based learning in the community. Navigate offers a learning path to a more meaningful education. For more information about programs, registration and becoming a learning partner, visit:
