Knitting Lessons for Beginners
Sept. 5 to 26; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Goward House craft group provide knitting lessons for beginners. Learn how to knit two small teddy bears or two scarves. Materials are provided. Lessons are free in exchange for the donation of one of your completed knitted items.

Friday, Sept. 7: Open House and Registration: 11 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesdays and Fridays, Sept. 11 to Nov. 16 Classes: 1 a.m. to 12 noon Attend this Open House to register with the Tai Chi Society. Once the Beginner level is completed, there are two on-going classes participants can join. Must attend Open House in person to register and pay.
Line Dancing for Beginners
Tuesdays, noon to 1 p.m. beginning Sept. 18 Learn to touch, tap, hook, scuff and stomp your way to fitness. A fun way to exercise and meet others. First-timer? No problem, your first class is free. Simply drop in.

Beginners Chinese Mah Jong
Oct. 10, 17, and 24, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon Mah Jong is a popular and interesting game for an afternoon or evening of entertainment. Playing is good therapy for the brain, and is good exercise for your hands, fingers, arms and eyes. If you miss a class, instructor Nancy will meet with you at a later date to make up for the missed lesson. Sign up on your own or with a group of friends by Sept. 28.
Bridge Lessons for True Beginners
Oct. 11 to Nov. 29, 2 to 3:30 p.m. Eight-week class of Audrey Grant’s Bridge Basics. Lessons designed for the absolute beginner. Learn the mechanics of the game and the fundamentals of bidding, play and defense. Material presented in a clear format. For anyone who wants to learn. Register by Sept. 25.
Bridge Lessons - Commonly Used Conventions
Mondays, 1 to 3 p.m., Oct 15 to Dec. 17* Eight-week American Contract Bridge League course covering conventions that players are likely to encounter in duplicate bridge games. Lessons include “cards-on-the-table” exercises. Intended for intermediate players familiar with the basics of bidding and play, including people returning to bridge after a long absence.
