Top three issues:
Safety and Security, Affordability, Transportation. Safety: means investing in and supporting “boots on the ground” — RCMP, Langford Fire Rescue, Langford Bylaw, equipment, resources. Affordability: a diversity of housing choices including enough rental, purpose built suites in new and old homes. Affordability also means living close by to recreation, great schools, medical clinics, place of work. Transportation: rapid transit, HOV lanes, commuter cycling lanes, transportation on E&N rail.
One big idea:
A multi-disciplinary state of the art medical clinic that provides services in all specialities where residents can see practitioners who see and care for them on an ongoing basis. A lifestyle clinic offering alternative therapies, mainstream medicine, LPN’s. Laboratories, xray, vision, hearing, mobility, mental health, cardio .... family friendly, gender inclusive, all ages, attractive, environmentally friendly design, architecturally stunning and right in our downtown core, on transit.
