Halloween events: • Oak Bay Village Trick or Treat, Oak Bay Avenue is closed and families can enjoy music and spooky entertainment. 2-5 p.m., followed by a Bonfire in Fireman's Park, 1703 Monterey Ave., next to the fire hall at 6 p.m. with hotdogs, hot chocolate and a Halloween costume contest. Go to visitoakbayvillage.ca. • Halloween Bonfire, hosted by Esquimalt Lions with a huge bonfire, costume contest for all ages, hot chocolate and food. 6-9 p.m. at Archie Browning Sport Centre, 1151 Esquimalt Rd.; esquimalt.ca. • Fourth Annual Treat Street in Downtown Sidney, 4:30-6 p.m. Beacon Avenue is closed to traffic and invites little ghosts, goblins and princesses to visit various Treat Stations around Sidney as well as at some of the local merchants. A free spooktacular evening of treats and Halloween fireworks, live entertainment and photobooth by Four Frames. Festivities start at 5:30 and fireworks start at dusk; bearmountain.ca. • Monsters Haunted House. Fear on the Pier, a live action haunted house, 6-11:30 p.m. at Ogden Point Pier A, 203 Dallas Rd. Hundreds of carved pumpkins will be displayed behind the Oak Bay Municipal Hall, 2167 Oak Bay Ave. Tonight, 5-10 p.m. • HOMOween. A Gay Halloween Fundraiser for the Youth Programs of the Victoria Pride Society.
