Barney Bentall & the Cariboo Express Annual Fundraiser Mary Winspear Centre Thursday, Nov. 15; Friday, Nov. 16; Saturday, Nov. 17. Showtime: 7:30 p.m. The Cariboo Express is a one-of-a-kind variety show led by Canadian superstar Barney Bentall, along with Ridley Bent, Dustin Bentall, Kendel Carson, Matt Masters, Wendy Bird, special guests and the Gold Rush Allstars — a backing band comprised of some of Canada’s finest musicians. Every November, the group convenes to raise funds for various worthy charities in the spirit of song, community and giving back to society. The Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank will receive all of the funds raised by the three shows. Sunday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade and Lighted Boat Parade Along Beacon Avenue, Sidney Get ready for Sidney to literally sparkle! The Santa Parade runs along Beacon Avenue and Second Street, so get some tasty hot chocolate, grab a seat and keep your eyes open for Santa! Hint: he’ll be on top of the Sidney firetruck. When the parade ends, head to the waterfront for the Lighted Boats Parade. They will sail their way along the coast, from Sidney Harbour to Tulista Park.
