SATURDAY, NOV. 24 37th Island Farms Santa’s Light Parade. Starting at at 4:45 p.m. at the corner of Government and Belleville streets at the legislativ­e buildings, travels down Government Street near Centennial Square. Support the Mustard Seed Food Bank as donations will be collected on the parade route. Following the parade, come to Centennial Square for games, fun, food and entertainm­ent. Santa will be handing out free cookies and milk and we will turn the lights on in the square at 7 p.m. sharp. Details at gvfs.ca. Children’s Christmas Kick Off. Start the holiday season with cookie decorating, hot chocolate and a candy buffet and afterward, enjoy the Santa Claus Parade.
