Butchart Gardens — daily until Jan. 6, 2019

With traditional carollers and a festive brass band, there’s no shortage of seasonal sounds at ButchartGardens. Visit the Piazza and sing along to classic carols — sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. The sound of festive brass instruments and traditional carollers will follow you down the garden path, greeting you at the beginning and end of your walk through the Christmas light display.

Traditional carolers and a festive brass band perform each evening between 5 to 9 p.m. as they alternate every half hour.

While you’re visiting the Butchart Gardens, take in the Magic of Christmas lights display. While the flowers sleep, Butchart adorns the gardens with colourful lights galore and boughs of greenery. The Gardens come to life with a colourful display of twinkling lights, including a series of scenes depicting the Twelve Days of Christmas. Wander the pathways to discover each scene while you sing along to the classic Christmas carol. While you’re there, lace up your skates and step onto the rink. Nestled under strings of twinkling lights, the 5,000-square-foot outdoor rink adds a little romance to a classic Canadian pastime. Breathe in the fresh air, and when you’re done on the ice, warm up by the fire in the coffee shop with family and friends and a cup of hot chocolate.
