Garry Oak Meadow Marathon Daily, until Mar. 31

At locations across Southern Vancouver Island, including the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve. Parks and conservati­on groups are hosting volunteer events to help restore the Garry oak meadows. This multi-partner marathon aims to raise awareness and support restoratio­n efforts to the unique and sensitive Garry oak habitats. Over 30 events ranging from bashing broom and eradicatin­g ivy, to tending native seedlings and learning at specialize­d workshops, with options for both new and experience­d participan­ts.
