Garry Oak Meadow Marathon Daily, until Mar. 31

At locations across Southern Vancouver Island, including the Cowichan Garry Oak Preserve. Parks and conservation groups are hosting volunteer events to help restore the Garry oak meadows. This multi-partner marathon aims to raise awareness and support restoration efforts to the unique and sensitive Garry oak habitats. Over 30 events ranging from bashing broom and eradicating ivy, to tending native seedlings and learning at specialized workshops, with options for both new and experienced participants.
