COVID—19—Development Industry Update
During these unprecedented times UDI Capital Region is actively representing the development industry and supporting the businesses that are reeling from this crisis. As the situation around COVID-19 has evolved, we at UDI Capital Region have been following closely the accredited health officials including Vancouver Island Health Authority, BC’s Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, via HealthLink and the federal Public Health
Agency of Canada to make decisions that keep the health and safety of everyone our top priority.
We will continue to keep everyone apprised of any material changes. In the meantime, we request that you take every precaution and the most important thing you can do to prevent the infection is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face, maintain social distance of 6 feet or more and if at all possible stay home.
These are difficult, uncertain times for our health, economy and industry. But you can trust UDI Capital Region to be there as we endure the challenges together. The BC business community has announced the creation of the COVID-19 Cabinet to address the significant impacts on the economy in these unprecedented times. We are collaborating together to provide support and quick response to changes in the business environment. We will work with government to share information and advocate on behalf of the development industry and entire BC business community and workers to ensure our voices are heard.
