Fan’s love skin deep, Peterson not shy

-

A fan at Washington Redskins training camp in Richmond, Va., is getting players’ autographs tattooed onto his arm.

Charlie White of Quinton, Va., asks players to sign his arm with a Sharpie. He then heads to a tattoo parlour and has the signatures made permanent. The 41-year-old White says his goal is to get all 22 starters. He saved his wrist for franchise quarterback Robert Griffin III, who obliged after Sunday afternoon’s practice. CARDINALS: Patrick Peterson says the debate over who is the best cornerback in the NFL will go on and on and his opinion will never change: He is the best.

“As a man, I can’t fathom putting another guy in front of me,” he said Sunday.

Peterson has jousted with Seattle’s Richard Sherman over which is the best at the position. Speaking at Arizona’s training camp, Peterson also mentioned two others “in the conversation,” Joe Haden of Cleveland and Darrelle Revis of New England. “All of us have the ability to be the best in the league,” Peterson said. BILLS: Buffalo is down another tight end after starter Scott Chandler left Sunday’s practice with a groin injury. Coach Doug Marrone didn’t have an immediate update on the severity of the injury. The Bills were already without tight ends Tony Moeaki, who hurt his hamstring on Friday, and Chris Gragg, expected back soon after two days in hospital with heatrelated cramps. GIANTS: Despite coming off one of the best seasons of his 12-year NFL career, making 23 of 26 field-goal attempts, Giants kicker Josh Brown is facing stiff competition from freeagent Brandon McManus.

“I’m not fully surprised by it,” Brown said. “It’s part of the business. I’m just a hired entity trying to keep up with the pace.”
