I didn’t want to like this. The idea of Reese peanut butter chocolate

spread seemed like a sweeter, junkier version of Nutella. And maybe it is (the first ingredient is sugar; the last is something called TBHQ), but after the third or fourth teaspoonful I had to admit the appeal. This is more than just a jar full of melted peanut butter cups, and it mixes well with crackers or pretzels. The promo material helpfully suggests pairing it with waffles and bacon, but after such a weighty breakfast you might feel the need to go back to bed. (Suggested retail: 650 grams for $6.79.)
