Topless photos with Trudeau cause Internet commotion

OTTAWA— A photo of Justin Trudeau standing next to a bare-breasted woman has caused a social media stir. It’s a photo op that some politicians — seeking to carefully stagemanage their image — might take a pass on. But in the photo that popped up on Twitter this week, the grinning Trudeau doesn’t seem like a reluctant participant.

Kate Purchase, a spokesperson for Trudeau, didn’t question the authenticity of the photo, saying that it was taken at the Toronto Pride parade at some point in the last few years.

“Mr. Trudeau obliges (thousands) of Canadians who ask for photos . . . We don’t screen people before they meet Mr. Trudeau — unlike other parties,” Purchase said in an email.
