Tories dodging the public?

-

All over this big “democratic” country of ours Conservatives candidates are refusing to participate in public debates. Message control by Stephen Harper is a must for his propaganda to flourish. He will not allow anyone to speak for fear they cause a problem or go off message.

Only his messages — carefully chosen and repeated ad nauseam — are allowed. It is pure propaganda.

Aren’t we supposed to be electing MPs who can intelligently make wise decisions?

We have become a banana republic, with an egocentric leader with dictatorial and fascist tendencies. Shame! Yvon Vaillant, Ottawa

Why are we not calling out the Conservative candidates for not appearing in public to speak, to debate, to respond to questions? Why are we allowing them to call the shots on controlled faux-to-ops?

How can these MPs and candidates get away with this? Sharon Russell, Uxbridge, Ont.
