Nash could join Warriors’ office

The Golden State Warriors are close to hiring two-time MVP Steve Nash as a player development consultant, a source said Tuesday. ESPN.com first reported news of the former point guard and eight-time NBA allstar finalizing an agreement with the Warriors. Nash announced his retirement in March after an 18-year career. He missed all of last season with the Los Angeles Lakers due to a back injury. He starred in Phoenix under general manager Steve Kerr, now the Warriors’ coach.
