NHL, Adidas sign seven-year deal

NEW YORK— The NHL has announced a seven-year deal with Adidas to produce its uniforms, beginning with the 2017-18 season. Adidas replaces Reebok, which had previously made the NHL’s sweaters. The NHL and NHL Players’ Associatio­n also announced Adidas will make the jerseys for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. On Monday, the CFL announced Adidas would be taking over from Reebok as its official outfitter starting next season.
