Over 4,000 attend the Marina Launch at Friday Harbour
A NEW MARINA, A DAY TO REMEMBER
“We’ve been making incredible progress toward fulfilling the vision for a world-class resort on Lake Simcoe.”
Three years, 250,000 truckloads of earth moved and construction of 4.5 km of marina wall is an engineering achievement deserving of a spectacular celebration. The creators of Friday Harbour Resort in Innisfil, Ontario’s new 600-acre all-season playground, recently held a milestone celebration to mark the completion of the new Marina Basin and provide a taste of what’s to come at Friday Harbour. Almost 2,000 guests, including many families who have purchased a resort home, were treated to a first-class event featuring games, entertainment, food trucks and children’s activities. The festivities culminated with a special live performance by two-time Juno award-winning solo artist Jim Cuddy and The Jim Cuddy Band.
“We’ve been making incredible progress toward fulfilling the vision for a world-class resort on Lake Simcoe,” says Jim De Gasperis, Managing Partner of Friday Harbour Resort and President of Condrain Group who along with partners Pemberton Group, Optus Capital and Geranium Corporation are bringing Friday Harbour to fruition. “Who better to celebrate that with us than the various levels of government, politicians, Town of Innisfil staff and, of course, the people who have purchased here.”
“We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive reception to Friday Harbour since opening our Vaughan-based sales centre in May 2014. In fact, over 500 families have already bought homes,” says Earl Rumm, a spokesperson for the resort and President of Geranium Corporation. “Demand has been so great that we have accelerated the release of more phases for sale and started construction for the first condominium buildings. The completion of the marina is a major step in achieving our goal to offer the ultimate lifestyle experience.”
