September crash victims named

Provincial police have identified the two victims of a deadly eight-vehicle collision last month on Hwy. 401 in Ajax. Allan Banks, 62, and Lewis Dennis Deszi, 56, were killed in the Sept. 23 crash near Salem Rd.

Banks, of Mississauga, was trapped in one of the smaller vehicles and died at the scene; the second victim, from Oshawa, died in hospital.

Another crash on the 401 near Salem Rd. occurred Oct. 2 and took the lives of three people.
