Beauty comes from within

Re Facing forward, Insight Oct. 4 In our modern society, people are first judged solely based on their appearance, but even society’s definition of beauty has been altered into a single unrealistic standard.

Every single person is beautiful and should have a chance to show who they really are, regardless of how they look on the outside.

Penny Loker is such an inspiration and I hope that someday the media will realize that. I hope that she will always be able to go out and feel confident just like the beautiful person that she is. Danica Teng, Mississauga

Penny Loker is unique and true beauty comes from within. We give so much attention to children with special needs, but as adults, not so much. Children can be bullies too.

I wonder if she’s considered any reconstructive surgery as it must be a challenge for dental and jaw issues. Hopefully surgery could be done and allow her time off and income during the process.
