Sensitive Skin up for International Emmy

-

Toronto-shot comedy Sensitive Skin has earned an International Emmy nomination for Best Comedy Series, the only Canadian show nominated this year.

It’s up against series from Brazil, France, Colombia and South Africa. The winners in 10 categories will be announced Nov. 23 at a gala at the Hilton New York Hotel.

Sensitive Skin just wrapped production of its second season set in the Toronto Islands. It will air on The Movie Network in 2016.

Based on a British hit of the same name, it stars Kim Cattrall ( Sex and the City) as a 50-something woman navigating middle age.

Britain had a leading seven International Emmy nominations, while Brazil was up for five awards; France for four; South Africa for three, and Colombia, Japan and Argentina had two nominations apiece. Star staff, wire services
