Game Day: Atlanta Hawks at Raptors

-

Air Canada Centre Tipoff: 7:30 p.m. TV: TSN Radio: Sportsnet 590

Probable starters

Atlanta: Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Kent Bazemore, Paul Millsap, Al Horford.

Toronto: Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, James Johnson, Luis Scola, Jonas Valanciunas.

Key matchup: Kyle Lowry (or Cory Joseph) vs. Jeff Teague. If Lowry’s elbow doesn’t take him out of Wednesday’s game, it could at least limit him against Teague. The Hawks’ point guard comes to Toronto on the heels of a 26-point, seven-assist, six-rebound effort in just 30 minutes in Monday’s win against the Bulls. Lowry, or a combination of Joseph and Delon Wright, will have to work hard to bottle up the catalyst of a balanced offence.

Need to know: With the Raptors trying to feel their way through Lowry’s injury and track down a franchise-record setting 50th win, they get a hot Hawks team that’s on the verge of clinching a playoff berth. An Atlanta win or a Washington loss will get them into their ninth consecutive post-season . . . With their 102-100 win over Chicago on Monday, the Hawks pushed the Bulls into a tie for ninth in the Eastern Conference, 21⁄

2 games out of a playoff spot with nine games remaining.
