Midland Park victim succumbs to injuries

The victim of a shooting in the Midland Park neighbourhood Thursday evening has died of his injuries. Kevaughn Morgan, 21, was gunned down in what police say was an “ambush” and a “cowardly” act.

Toronto police confirmed the man’s death Friday morning. Emergency responders originally arrived at Lawrence Ave. E. and Rushley Dr. just west of Brimley Rd. at about 10:20 p.m. Homicide Det. Sgt. Paul Worden said witnesses reported that as many as five shots were fired. The victim is believed to have been known to the suspect, Worden said.
