WALK: Music Trail
Take an afternoon to learn about Leipzig’s vast musical history by walking the Music Trail (leipzig.travel/en). Follow the silver ribbon inlays throughout the city centre streets and visit the Leipzig Opera, composer Johann Sebastian Bach’s resting place at St. Thomas Church and an 18th-century coffee house once frequented by composers Richard Wagner and Robert Schumann. You may walk the five-kilometre route at your own pace and each of the trail’s sites has a signpost that offers audio samples and information in both German and English.
