Devil spotted in Walmart

-

Re Goat busters, Nov. 3

Man walked on the moon, a black man was elected president and the Chicago Cubs are World Series champions. Although I’m a die-hard Blue Jays fan, I cannot and could not help but cheer as the perpetual underdogs, the “lovable losers” of baseball, won what seemed truly impossible for 108 years. We truly live now in an era where all things are possible!

Congrats to those feisty Cubs. I pray, like me, that we all feel a lift in our spirits and have a spring in our steps by this inspiring team that was down 3-1 before coming back and winning it all.

In a related story, I saw the devil in Walmart. He asked me where the winter coats were. Apparently things have gotten quite cold in his domain. If Trump wins next week, he might consider a career change.

As for Cleveland, congrats to them. They played a great series and are now the owners of “longest streak without a World Series.” Steven Eleftheriadis, North York
