Dog thrown from bal­cony, man charged

A 25-year-old man is fac­ing twocharges af­ter a dog was thrown from the sev­enth storey of an east-end apart­ment build­ing on Mon­day.

Toronto po­lice and the city’s an­i­mal ser­vices were called to 40 Fir­val­ley Crt. in Scar­bor­ough at noon on Mon­day.

Const. Vic­tor Kwong said the dog, which res­i­dents said was a bea­gle, had bro­ken limbs but was re­ported to have still been breath­ing at the time 911 was called. The dog later died.

Adrian Fos­ter is fac­ing one count of kill/maim/wound­ing dog, and one count of wil­fully caus­ing un­nec­es­sary suf­fer­ing to an an­i­mal.
