T.O. road closures ahead

DVP, Gardiner Expressway to shut down intermittently

Drivers, mark this down on your calendar.

The City of Toronto has announced its planned closures for the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner Expressway in the spring and summer.

á The DVP between the Gardiner and Hwy. 401will be closed for spring maintenance activities from Friday, April 21, at 11 p.m. to Monday, April 24, at 5 a.m.

á The Gardiner will be closed from Carlaw Ave. to the Humber Bridge; and the DVP will be closed from Hwy. 401 to the Gardiner on Sunday, June 4 from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is to accommodate the Ride for Heart charity event.

á Eastbound lanes of the Gardiner from the Humber Bridge to Carlaw Ave. and the northbound lanes of the DVP from the Gardiner to Eglinton Ave., including all ramps, will be closed Sunday, July 23, from 2 a.m. to noon during the Toronto Triathlon Festival.
