Born: 1909 in Delianova in Calabria, Italy; nicknamed “The Beast of Delianova”; date of death unknown
Lengthy criminal record by the time he was 20: weapons offences, threatening, home invasion, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder
On June 29, 1937, shortly after being released from prison, he shot his widowed sister Rosa, who he believed was pregnant and had disgraced the family. He then dragged her down the street to her lover’s house and stabbed her. When he couldn’t find her lover, he killed the man’s brother instead
He fled Italy and was convicted in absentia of the double murder and sentenced to 30 years in prison. He came to Hamilton, where he lived under the name of Jim D’Augustino until he was caught by the RCMP and extradited to Italy from his Ray Street North home in 1965 Dominic Musitano (Angelo’s nephew, Pat and Ang’s father) Born: Near Reggio, Calabria Died: In 1995 from a heart attack; he was 57
Jailed in 1985 for being an accessory after the fact in the slaying of Toronto mobster Domenic Racco in 1983. In the same crime, Dominic’s nephew, Guiseppe Avignone, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder and was jailed
