4-year-old called 911 after near-drowning
A woman who was pulled from a Newmarket backyard pool after the 4-year-old girl she was babysitting called 911 remained in life-threatening condition Saturday.
Police went to the residence near Davis Dr. and Alexander Rd. just before 5 p.m. Friday for a report of a possible drowning and found the 20year-old woman in the water with no vital signs. Police said she had accidentally gone into the deep end of the pool and was unresponsive.
CPR was administered on the spot, before she was transported to a local hospital. Police said the incident was not considered suspicious, and the child was not injured.
