George sets sights on landing with Lakers

-

Paul George reportedly has told the Indiana Pacers that he plans to become a free agent next summer and hopes to join the Los Angeles Lakers. George, a Southern California native, hasn’t requested a trade, but wanted to be upfront with Indiana, according to a report by The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. For the Lakers, who could take Lonzo Ball in Thursday’s draft, landing George would be a bigstep toward luring other stars. More on the George situation on Doug Smith’s blog at thestar.com.
