A June 17 article about medical school graduate Robert Chu taking his own life following two unsuccessful attempts to secure a medical residency program and a subsequent June 20 editorial calling for a reassessment of Canada’s medical school admissions process mistakenly said Ontario cut 25 residency positions last year and another 50 positions the year before in order to prevent a future oversupply of physicians. In fact, only 25 first-year residency positions have been cut in total.
