Flames’ offer tops other Foo fighters

CALGARY— Coveted college free agent Spencer Foo committed to signing with the Calgary Flames on Tuesday. The 23-year-old’s contract will become official when the NHL freeagent market opens on Saturday. Foo — a six-foot, 185-pound right winger — racked up 26 goals and 36 assists in 38 games as a junior for Union College this past season. The Flames traded for defenceman Travis Hamonic and goalie Mike Smith.
