Second PED ban for Bears’ Freeman
LAKE FOREST, ILL.— The NFL has suspended injured Chicago Bears linebacker Jerrell Freeman 10 games for violating the league’s policy against performance-enhancing drugs. It was the second PED suspension in as many years for Freeman, who received a four-week ban last season. The league says he will begin serving this one immediately. Freeman, a one-time CFL player who led Chicago in tackles last season, is on injured reserve due to a pectoral injury he suffered on Sept. 11 against Atlanta.
