Mad Men writer accuses show creator
Mad Men writer Kater Gordon claimed Thursday that show creator Matthew Weiner sexually harassed her.
Gordon, who began as Weiner’s personal assistant before moving up the ranks and eventually winning a 2009 Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for “Meditations In An Emergency,” told the Information that Weiner told her that he was entitled to see her nude.
She “froze and tried to brush (the comments) off,” she said. Confronting him would “end her career” and doing nothing would “make it impossible to work with him.”
“Mr. Weiner spent eight to 10 hours a day writing dialogue aloud with Miss Gordon . . . He does not remember saying this comment nor does it reflect a comment he would say to any colleague,” a rep said.
