WHO’S IN? FIVE PLAYERS GOT CALL FROM HALL — HERE’S WHY

DAVE ANDREYCHUK

Born in Hamilton on Sept. 29, 1963, the lanky left winger played 1,639 regular season NHL games plus 162 in the playoffs with six teams: Buffalo, Toronto, New Jersey, Boston, Colorado and Tampa. Andreychuk won one Stanley Cup ring, with the Lightning in 2004, and a bronze medal at the world championsh­ip in 1986. Key stat: 640 goals (120 as a Maple Leaf) He finished his career with 1,338 regular-season points (219 in 223 games in Toronto), 97 in the postseason.

PAUL KARIYA

Born in Vancouver on Oct. 16, 1974, the speedy left winger, whose career was cut short in 2011 by concussion­s, played 989 regularsea­son games with four franchises — Anaheim, Colorado, Nashville and St. Louis — as well as 46 in the playoffs. Kariya played in three world championsh­ips, winning in 1994, and helped end Canada’s 50-year Olympic gold drought in 2002. He also won the Lady Byng Trophy on two occasions. Key stat: 989 points in 989 games (402 goals, 589 assists) Kariya added 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists) in the post-season.

TEEMU SELANNE

Born in Helsinki on July 3, 1970, the Finnish Flash patrolled the right wing in 1,451 regular-season and 130 post-season games with four NHL clubs — Winnipeg, Anaheim, San Jose and Colorado. Selanne also skated for Finland at six Winter Olympics, five world championsh­ips, two World Cups and one Canada Cup. He won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007. Key stat: 684 regular-season goals, 76 as a rookie with the Jets in 1992-93 Selanne finished with 1,457 regularsea­son points, plus 88 (44 goals, 44 assists) in the playoffs.

DANIELLE GOYETTE

Born in Saint-Nazaire, Que., on Jan. 30, 1966, the prolific forward suited up for Team Canada at the world championsh­ip nine times between 1992 and 2007, bringing home eight gold medals and a silver. In 171 career games with the national team, Goyette racked up 218 points (113 goals, 105 assists). She also played for two Olympic champions, in 2002 and 2006. Key stat: 68 career world championsh­ip points, fourth-most in women’s hockey history Goyette’s 15 career Olympic goals rank second all-time.

MARK RECCHI

Born in Kamloops, B.C., on Feb. 1, 1968, the relentless right winger played 1,652 regular-season and 189 playoff games for seven teams — Pittsburgh, Philadelph­ia, Montreal, Carolina, Atlanta, Tampa, Boston. Recchi retired with three Stanley Cup rings: Penguins (1991), Hurricanes (2006), Bruins (2011). He also competed in the 1998 Olympics and three world championsh­ips. Key stat: 1,533 regular-season points (577 goals, 956 assists) Recchi added 147 points (61 goals, 86 assists) in the playoffs.
