Jays-Indians: Makeup date May 3

The Blue Jays and Indians were rained out for the second straight time in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon, setting up a doubleheader next month. Toronto will stop in Ohio on May 3 for a pair of makeup games — weather permitting — starting at 1 p.m. The Jays’ rotation won’t change for their three-game home series against the Kansas City Royals starting Monday night. After Sunday’s rainout on Jackie Robinson Day across the majors, the Blue Jays will instead honour the legendary No. 42, the first African-American major leaguer of the modern era, during Monday’s series opener. The Jays finished their first road trip of the season with a 5-2 record.
