HUMBER INVITES YOU TO VISIT ON MAY 5
When Mother Nature didn’t receive the memo that spring started in March and caused havoc with an ice storm on April 14, Humber College was forced to reschedule its spring open house. Now that spring has finally sprung, you’ll get the opportunity to learn all about the college when it holds its open house on May 5.
“Open house is still ideal for guests who are interested in starting their studies in the fall,” says Breanne Cole, the college’s recruitment communications co-ordinator. “We understand that making a decision about a program and school is important and open house is a great way to help students decide.
“Humber offers of admission will remain valid until May 7 to ensure those who want to visit Humber before confirming their offer can do so,” adds Cole.
The all-access, drop-in event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the college’s North, Lakeshore and Orangeville campuses. It will include faculty-led sessions for a variety of programs, and allow students to speak one-on-one with faculty and current students and to explore the campus and tour the labs.
“Whether students want more information about how to get into a program, apply for financial aid or know about living in residence, there will be staff on-site to answer these questions and more,” says Cole.
In addition to a wide range of programs and services, attendees will be able to learn about the latest Humber developments, such as the college’s newest physical space, The Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (CTI) at North Campus.
“CTI, which will be complete in fall 2018, will pioneer a new solution to technological and innovation challenges facing Canada’s manufacturing industry,” says Cole.
Cole suggests guests visit the campus that facilitates the programs in which they are most interested.
