KEY PLAYERS

Donaldson/Franco Josh Donaldson started to look a little more like himself during Toronto’s most recent series against the Los Angeles Angels, going 4-for-12 with three doubles. But he will have some stiff competition in Philadelphia’s third baseman, Maikel Franco, who has 30 RBIs and seven home runs this season.

NEED TO KNOW

Garcia is expected to make his first start on Saturday since going on the disabled list with left shoulder inflammation May 16 after throwing a bullpen session on Thursday … The Blue Jays are winless in their last seven series, which matches their record in the first seven series of the 2017 season, and are a season-worst four games under .500 … The Blue Jays could meet a familiar face in Philadelphia — ex-Toronto starter Drew Hutchinson. The Blue Jays chose him in the 15th round of the 2009 draft, and he is now a part of the Phillies’ bullpen.

ON DECK

Three games at the Boston Red Sox, starting Monday.
