Eat With Your Eyes in Mind

Eating the right foods can improve your vision. Salads, citrus fruits, eggs, and almonds — all rich in omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and/or vitamin C — can all help prevent macular degenerati­on, an age-related condition that slowly leads to vision loss.

Don’t Forget Your Sunnies

UV radiation from the sun can damage your vision and lead to cataracts as well as temporary or permanent vision loss. Whatever brand you choose, select sunglasses that provide 100 percent protection against UVA and UVB rays.

Follow a Healthy Lifestyle

Poor lifestyle choices can lead to poor sight. Improve your vision through a consistent, healthy diet and regular exercise. If you smoke, consider quitting as it increases the risk of damage to the nerves in your eyes.

Take a Screen Break

Too much screen time blurs the sight and can lead to dry eyes as well as headaches. Try to look away from your computer or mobile screen once every 20 minutes for at least 20 seconds to prevent eye strain.
