- Jason Siu AutoGuide.com

Toyota Corolla

The ever-popular Toyota Corolla is the choice for 2.8 per cent of millennials. The Corolla often finds itself in the top 10 of best-selling vehicles each year, offering an attractive package of features at an affordable price. There’s also a hatchback model coming to the U.S. for 2019, which will likely be a hit.

Toyota Camry

The best-selling sedan in the U.S. for years, 3.23 per cent of millennials are driving a Toyota Camry. Reliable, safe, and fuel-efficient, the Camry will continue being a popular option for sedan shoppers, no matter their age.

Nissan Altima

A slightly sportier option compared to the Camry is Nissan’s Altima, with 3.32 per cent of millennials driving it. It’s a practical sedan that is arguably a bit more exciting than other competitors. It offers decent fuel economy and recently got updated with new technology and an all-wheel-drive option.

Ford Focus

The Ford Focus as we know it will soon be discontinued in the U.S., replaced by the car-sized crossover called the Focus Active. But for now, the model remains popular with millennials with 1.91 per cent driving them. It’s an economical and affordable option with decent fuel economy and cargo space.

Chevrolet Malibu

Approximately 1.94 per cent of millennials are behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Malibu. A bit more expensive than the Ford Focus, the Malibu is a compelling offer for shoppers looking for a domestic vehicle in that segment.

Honda Civic

Possibly the least surprising car on the list is the Honda Civic, at 3.85 per cent. Honda’s popular Civic has been a hit for decades, regardless of a buyer’s age. Helping make it so popular is its affordable starting price and that it’s available in a variety of body styles: coupe, sedan, and hatchback.

Honda Accord

But the most popular car for millennials is the Honda Accord, at 3.87 per cent. It may not outpace the Toyota Camry in terms of overall sales, but some could argue the Accord is a more attractive among younger buyers.

Hyundai Elantra

The study found 1.57 per cent of millennials are behind the wheel of a Hyundai Elantra. As an affordable and competitive offering in the compact segment, the Elantra isn’t just popular with millennials. It’s also an IIHS 2018 Top Safety Pick+, so parents will feel safer with their kid behind the wheel.

Ford F-Series Pickup

Considering it has been America’s most popular vehicle for 36 straight years, it’s not a huge surprise that the Ford F-150 is also popular with millennials. A total of 1.65 per cent of millennials are driving the F-150, which is also one of the most expensive vehicles on the list.

Chevrolet Impala

The larger Chevrolet Impala is popular among millennials at 2.04 per cent. It’s higher priced than other vehicles on the list and has lower fuel economy, but it’s likely a choice among older millennials.
