Halifax CFL group seeks team name

The group hoping to put a CFL franchise in Halifax launched a name-the-team contest with suggested nicknames — including the Atlantic Admirals, Convoy, Storm, and Schooners. Anyone who pays a $50 deposit during a seasonticket drive, now underway, can enter the contest with the winning name to be announced Nov. 23. Shannon Park on the east side of Halifax harbour is the proposed stadium site.
