Hells Angel member charged in drug raid

- PETER EDWARDS STAFF REPORTER

A London, Ont., man who police say is a “known” Hells Angel biker faces several drug and weapons charges after police raids on two homes and a storage locker found cocaine, Percocet tablets, brass knuckles and Tasers.

Sean Burger, 47, of London, faces charges of possession of cocaine and Percocet for the purpose of trafficking, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of a prohibited device.

The raids were conducted on Saturday, the Ontario Provincial Police announced Tuesday.

The raids netted 154 grams of cocaine worth $15,400, 12 Percocet pills, two tasers and three Hells Angels vests, police said. One of the vests showed patches with “LOWELL” and “FOREVER,” showing solidarity with the long-standing Hells Angels charter in Lowell, Mass.

“This is an international organization,” Det. Staff Sgt. Anthony Renton of the provincial Biker Enforcement Unit said in an interview when asked about the “LOWELL” patch. “It’s a symbol of their stature — that they are part of the bigger picture.”

Also charged after the raids is Jessica Boloshetshenko, 33, of London, who faces charges of possession of Percocet and possession of unauthorized weapon.

Police said they are also seeking a 27-year-old London, Ont. woman with relation to the investigation.

The Lowell, Mass., charter of the Hells Angels dates back to 1966 and is particularly significant in the history of the club.
