Justin Bieber is asking his fans for emotional support as he works to face his personal struggles “head on.”

In a candid Instagram post over the weekend, the pop superstar opened up about what he called the “most human season I’ve ever been in.”

“Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird,” he wrote in a message accompanied by a picture of himself praying with his manager Scooter Braun and rapper Kanye West.

“I always bounce back so I’m not worried, just wanted to reach out and ask for (you) guys to pray for me.”

While Bieber didn’t disclose exactly what he’s facing, he recently opened up about receiving treatment for depression.

In a Vogue magazine interview last month, the singer said his mental health spiralled in the midst of his 2017 world tour for the album Purpose.

“I haven’t talked about this and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about,” he shared. “I was lonely. I needed some time.”

Bieber said he relied heavily on Xanax during that period of his life to distance himself from his reality.

“I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed,” he shared. “My mom always said to treat women with respect. For me, that was always in my head while I was doing it, so I could never enjoy it. Drugs put ascreen between me and what I was doing.”

“It got pretty dark,” he added. “I think there were times when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing.”

Bieber married Hailey Baldwin in September after a whirlwind romance, noting on Instagram that marriage takes lots of work: “Relationships are hard and love isn’t always easy, but thank you Jesus for showing me how! Every day is a learning process, trying to be more like him, patient, kind, selfless, boy I got a long way! But gods grace is sufficient!”
