Amy Schumer gives new meaning to “moms can do anything.”

The standup comedian and actress came in seventh on Forbes’ 2019 list of highest-earning standup comedians, making her the only woman and only mom in the top 10.

Schumer brought in $21 million (U.S.), averaging half a million dollars in each city she toured in, according to Forbes. The comedianmade more than Aziz Ansari, Jeff Dunham and Terry Fator.

Her earnings come from her standup comedy tour and her Netflix special Growing, which highlighted the more humorous side of her journey into motherhood.

The Trainwreck star had a tough pregnancy. She had to cancel multiple shows while touring due to hyperemesis gravidarum (acute morning sickness), which she suffered throughout her entire pregnancy. In November 2018, Schumer announced that she had been hospitalized because of the severe morning sickness and had to reschedule a Texas show.

“I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester,” she wrote on her Instagram.

Three months later in February, the comedian was forced to cancel the remainder of her tour due to the illness.

“I have a pretty good attitude about it and some days I feel good for a couple hours,” she wrote. “But mostly it sucks. I wanted to push through and do my shows,” wrote the I Feel Pretty star. “Because I hate letting people down and I love stand up and money! But more than that I have to think about my health and the baby.”

Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their baby boy, Gene, in May. Two weeks later, she was back on stage performing at the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Of course, momshamers came after her for returning to work so quickly after giving birth.

Her response: “I’ve always wanted to be mom shamed!!!!”
