The Toronto Star is pleased to announce a new weather partnership with the Weather Network, the No. 1 weather site for Canadians.
The Weather Network (and MétéoMédia) reaches 35 million monthly users nationally, including 8.6 million on TV and a further 27 million on its website and free app.
The Weather Network’s team of meteorologists and weather experts has delivered forecasts to communities across Canada for more than 30 years. Beyond the temperatures, its made-in Canada video and editorial content includes coverage of nature, space, climate, wildlife, community and lifestyle.
Toronto Star readers will notice the daily weather map has a slightly different look. We’ve worked closely with the Weather Network’s designers to retain virtually all the old information in our former weather package plus adding a few new features:
> The local five-day forecast includes two new daily weather highlights: the number of sunlight hours and the “Real Feel” temperature.
> The Ontario Today map is physically larger, which allows us to add two new northern Ontario cities — Sudbury and North Bay.
> The two-day temperature forecast includes the existing cities plus Winnipeg to fill in a significant national gap.
> The barometer reading is added as a daily feature.
> On Saturdays, weather gets its own full page with bigger maps, more city temperatures, and new national, marine and hygrometer forecasts.
You’ll find the weather on A22.
