Hate princess’ speech torpedoed
University of Southern California valedictorian Asna Tabassum seems to want to earn a PHD in hate.
Tabassum’s commencement speech has been torpedoed after she hit the beach of social media demanding the “complete abolition” of Israel.
Following the emergence of a treasure trove of hate on her social media accounts, the university began questioning her suitability for the honour. Not only did she comment on the Israel-gaza battle, but she added anti-semitic links.
USC didn’t condemn the hate-fest, but instead cited safety in removing Tabassum from the undergraduate commencement roster.
She’s reportedly majoring in biomedical engineering.
She was chosen from nearly 100 student applicants with GPAS of 3.98 or higher.
Zionists are “racist settlers” according to one of her retweets, and Tabassum clicks a lot of “likes” on anti-semitic material.
A letter to the school took issue with Tabassum: “Ms. Tabassum unabashedly and openly endorses the link’s calls for ‘the complete abolishment of the state of Israel.’ … Ms. Tabassum’s link reinforces racism with another link, urging readers to ‘reject the hegemonic efforts to demand that Palestinians accept that Israel has a right to exist as a ... Jewish state.”
