SURETTE, Georgette Angele, 93, Villa St. Joseph du Lac, Yarmouth went to be with her Lord and savior Monday, November 6, 2017. Born April 18, 1924 in Amirault’s Hill, she was the daughter of the late Apollinair­e and Hermine (Leblanc) Bourque. Georgette was a loving mother, a member of St Ambrose Cathedral and a faithful prayer warrior. She was formerly employed at the Lake Lawn Motel. She is survived by her son Glendon (Linda Anderson), Halifax and numerous nieces and nephews. As the last surviving member of her immediate family she was predecease­d by her husband Leo Joseph Surette; brothers Simon Paul and Ambrose; sisters Virgina and Cecile; adoptive siblings, Lorette, Florence and Simeon. Funeral arrangemen­ts were under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematoriu­m, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. wit h prayers at 8 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was held Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. from St Ambrose Co Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
