The Par-en-Bas Sharks had a victory of the Yarmouth Vikings in Valley High School Hockey League action on Jan. 14. tying it up at 1 goal each. It was the Sharks that took the advantage at the end of the 1st period when Miguel D’Eon scored another goal for the Sharks making it 2-1 PEB at the end of the 1st. The Barons battled back in the second, with goals from Jagger Kane and Tanner Bateman giving the Barons the advantage going into the third with a 3-2 lead over PEB. During the third, the game ended 4-2 with Baron’s player Jacob Symonds scoring an open-netter with four seconds left on the clock.

Par-en-Bas 8 – Yarmouth 1

On Jan. 14, Yarmouth and Paren-Bas met up at the Mariners

The Yarmouth Scotiabank Western Riptide White Female Peewee A team played two games at home versus Metro East Inferno Red last weekend.

On Jan. 13 they tied the game 2-2. Goals were scored by Hav- Centre. It was a clean game with only 5 penalties between the teams. Par-en-Bas ended up with the 8-1 win. Scoring for Yarmouth was Drake Johnson and scoring for Par-en-Bas were Josh Boudreau (4), Zach D’Arcy (2), Hayden Young and Patrick d’Entremont netting singles. Next up for Paren-Bas is an away game vs Clare on Saturday Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. and the Vikings host the Barrington Barron’s on Friday at 7 p.m.

Digby 10 – Middleton 3

Middleton scored in the opening 10 seconds of a Jan. 14 game and hoped to continue their winning ways over Digby from the anah Perry and Courtney Fitzgerald with assists by Madison Cushing and Carly Kini. On Jan. 14 they won 4-2 with Isabelle d’Entremont scoring three goals and Madison Cushing scoring one. night before when they had a 6-5 victory, but the Digby Mariners had different plans and opened a 5-1 lead by the end of the first and 7-2 in the second, before cruising to the 10-3 win. Braden Trimper led Digby with 4 goals. Other goals during the game were scored by Noah Titus, Miles Titus, Ryan Gunn, Braden Brooks and Owen Titus.

The game was a fiesty affair on the penalty side.
