FRIDAY, FEB. 9

• Up until 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, build a snow sculpture and enter the prize contest. Enter on wall map at Cherry Brook Grocery Store, Main St. Bear River.

• 6 p.m. “Self Revelation­s” Artworks Gallery, Oakdene Center, 1913 Clementsva­le Rd. Prizes awarded. Contact: Ken Flett: kenflett@gmail.com

• Lunch Special: Myrtle & Rosie’s Lunch Bear River Winter Carnival luncheon special downtown Bear River.

SATURDAY, FEB. 10

• Build a snow sculpture until 3 p.m.

• Art Exhibition at Sissaboo Coffee Bar 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Warming station upstairs at Bear River Legion. Free hot chocolate and doughnuts. Sponsored by The Mason’s, Keith Lodge #16.

• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.“Self Revelation­s” Artworks Gallery, Oakdene Center.

• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Club 400 Winter Active Team along the Bear River Waterfront. Kick sledding, Nordic walking, and snowshoein­g. Contact: Nancy Chisholm: NChisholm@annapolisc­ounty.ca

• 1 p.m. Free Snow Shoeing at Cornwallis Park 1km. Snowshoes provided. Parking at the top of Broadway Ave.

• 1-3 p.m. Maple Syrup Snow Sucker Stand along the Bear River waterfront. Contact Peter and Ann Burrell 902-247-2297.

• 2-4 p.m. Warming Station upstairs at Bear River Legion.

• 5-6 p.m. Valentine’s Supper. Ham and beans with scalloped potatoes, tea or coffee. Apple crisp with ice cream. Upstairs at the Bear River Fire Hall. $12 per person, under 5 free. Take out orders can be made in advance. Contact Teresa Dawson 902-467-4140 or at teresa.dawson@sky.com
