Question to the Premier and education minister
Someone should ask the Premier and the Minister of Education how many principals and vice principals are teaching. In rural Nova Scotia this is the norm. There are also many teaching vice principals in HRSB.
When I was the principal of Carleton School in TCRSB I taught 40 per cent.
Will administrators be part of the NSTU when they teach? How will that work?
Schools are not corporations. Management models do not work as school administrators work side by side with our staffs. Teaching principals, vice principals, really understand the challenges the classroom teachers and students face every day. Removing them will only create more stress for teachers and support staff who do their utmost to help the students.
What is this government’s hidden agenda? It certainly is not to improve public education.
I am still waiting for a reply from Zach Churchill (my MLA) in regards to my response to the Avis Glaze Report which was sent by email and hand delivered a hard copy to his assistant in Yarmouth. Jude Fulton
