Digby health coalition and Doctors Nova Scotia organize community meeting

The Digby Area Health Coalition has organized an evening conversati­on for Thursday, Feb. 22, that will feature guest speakers from Doctors Nova Scotia in an event designed to discuss community health care challenges.

Doctors Nova Scotia president Dr. Manoj Vohra and Kevin Chapman, director of Partnershi­ps and Finance of Doctors Nova Scotia, will participat­e in the event and be available to respond to questions from the audience.

Doctors Nova Scotia is the medical associatio­n that repre- sents more than 3,500 physicians, including practising and retired physicians, medical students and residents. The associatio­n states it “is committed to working with all partners in health-care delivery to ensure Nova Scotia is positioned to recruit and retain talented and skilled doctors, introduce new and innovative ways to deliver health care, and to continuous­ly look for ways to improve patient care and access.”

This is an open, public meeting that is being held at the theatre at the Digby Regional High School on Feb. 22 starting at 7:30 p.m.
