The Yarmouth Vikings are using a home game this Friday night to support a former player who is recovering from a December motor vehicle accident.

Jaden Muise, who played with the Vikings during several seasons before graduating from high school in June 2017, was seriously injured on Dec. 18 when the vehicle he was driving collided with a tow truck on Highway 101. He has been in Halifax recovering in hospital, and now undergoing rehab, since the accident. His family also relocated to Halifax to be with him during his recovery. The YCMHS Vikings are hosting the Paren-Bas Sharks on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Mariners Centre for a Valley High School Hockey League game. The Vikings will be donating the proceeds from the admission gate and the 50/50 to Jaden Muise and his family. Admission to the game is $5.
